WEIGHT REDUCTION

If your bat is too heavy or feels not quite right then it can be re-shaped or have the weight reduced so it feels better when you're batting with it.

The process consists of removing the stickers on the back of the bat, removing excess willow & re-sanding the entire back of the bat.

MINOR - Remove up to 1 ounce of weight from the bat. Generally, this is done by removing the toe sticker (if your bat has one & either taking the willow off the toe or shifting the spine slightly higher on the bat.

MID - Remove 2 to 4 ounces of weight from the bat. This is done by removing all of the stickers on the back of the bat and reducing the weight by lowering the spine, modifying the profile if needed and concaving the back of the bat.

MAJOR - Removing 5 to 7 ounces of weight from the bat. Firstly you need to make sure your bat is big enough to allow this amount of weight to be removed from it. If it is then we will be removing all of the stickers on the back of the bat and reducing the weight by lowering the spine, modifying the profile if needed and concaving the back of the bat.

TYPE: Minor - 1 ounce of weight removed

Bat weight reduction, new stickers and shoe goo

The guys at Cooper cricket are by far the best at what they do.
We have had at least 5-6 bats repaired, weight reduction, new stickers and shoe goo all with unbelievable results.
Special mention to Malakai who has been handling all our bats.
We are also in the process of purchasing a bag and all protective gear for my daughter.
Cooper cricket supplies everything you require at a great price.
Could not be happier with the service.
Cheers

Great service, great advice

I didn't quite know why I wandered into Cooper Cricket, but very glad that I did. Thought I would take a look, maybe buy a new bat. Current bat was not working, way too late onto the ball and felt very heavy with not great pickup. Guys at Cooper suggested rather than buy a new bat, try a weight reduction, and shifting the sweet spot a bit higher on the bat. 4lbs lighter, and so much better! Great advice, great turnaround once I'd delivered them the bat, and great results. Like having a new bat. Thanks Cooper Cricket!
