Kendel Kadowaki-Fleming, captain of Japan’s national cricket team, has become a trailblazer in Associate cricket, representing his country with skill and leadership. Known for his left-handed batting and right-arm off-spin, Kendel holds impressive records, including a historic T20I opening partnership of 258 runs with Lachlan Yamamoto-Lake against China in 2024, setting the highest score for an opening stand in T20Is. His accomplishments include two T20I centuries, making him the first Japanese player to reach this milestone.

Tom Whitney is making waves as a talented opening bowler for Queensland. Starting with the South Tweed Colts at just six years old, he’s climbed through Queensland’s under-age ranks and represented Australia at the Under-19 World Cup in 2022.
This year, Tom debuted for Queensland in both the Marsh One-Day Cup and the Sheffield Shield, where he claimed a stunning five-wicket haul on debut. Known for his professionalism and team-first approach, Tom draws inspiration from cricket greats like Shane Watson.

ANNIE WIKMAN
Annie Wikman, a dynamic all-rounder, has made an impressive mark with the ACT Meteors in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL). Originally from Queensland, where she honed her skills in grade cricket with Western Suburbs District Cricket Club, Annie earned her call-up to the Meteors in 2022 following standout performances, including four fifties and her maiden century. Known for her right-handed batting and medium-pace bowling, Annie has consistently contributed with both bat and ball, showcasing her versatility and resilience on the field.
At just 23, Annie continues to grow her impact in Australian domestic cricket, and we’re thrilled to welcome her as part of the Cooper Cricket family. Emmerson Filsell, now part of the Cooper Cricket family as a sponsored player, has quickly established herself in South Australia’s cricket scene. A tall, fast bowler known for her impressive pace and bounce, Emmerson earned her first state contract for the 2024/25 season following standout performances in SACA Premier Cricket, where she was named in the Premier Cricket Team of the Year. Chloe Abel, a dynamic right-arm medium pacer, has become an integral part of the Scotland national team. Born in Tasmania, Chloe balances her cricket career with studies in nursing, showcasing her dedication on and off the field. She made a memorable debut for Scotland in the Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier, taking four wickets to help Scotland progress to the Global Qualifier.
Chloe’s commitment extends beyond cricket; she’s also a third-year nursing student, taking on a demanding work placement in palliative care. STEVE McGIFFIN
Steve McGiffin, a versatile all-rounder from Brisbane, has been making waves in Queensland's Premier Grade cricket. Known for his right-handed batting and medium-fast bowling, Steve recently showcased his skills with the Brisbane Heat during the 2021-22 Big Bash League, where he debuted in a T20 match against the Melbourne Renegades. His consistent performances have also put him on the radar for Queensland Bulls selection, particularly after strong showings with his club, Western Suburbs, where he regularly leads with both bat and ball.
