WARRANTY

At Cooper Cricket, we understand the connection between a cricketer and their gear. Whether it’s your bat, protective equipment, or shoes, we know how much your equipment matters. That’s why we offer warranties designed to support your performance on the field.

1-Year Limited Bat Warranty

What is Cooper Cricket’s 1-Year Limited Bat Warranty?
The Cooper Cricket 1-Year Limited Bat Warranty covers a period of 365 days from the date of purchase. If your bat develops a material or workmanship flaw within this time, we’re committed to helping you get back in the game.

Cricket bats are a natural product and are not indestructible. No bat is guaranteed not to break, as they are all made from timber. The higher price or grade of willow does not mean your bat is immune to damage or breakage. Regardless of grade, they are still timber.

How to obtain a warranty claim for bats
To make a warranty claim for your bat, you must notify us within 48 hours of the damage happening. Send us an email at info@coopercricket.com.au, including your contact details (email and phone number), order number, and item number from your confirmation email.

Our customer service team will make every reasonable effort to assist you. Please note that if you do not contact us within the designated time frame, your warranty claim may not be approved.

How does the return process work?
If your bat falls under the conditions outlined in our policy and passes the required checks, you will need to either drop off your bat at our shop or send it to us.

When sending your bat, please include a document with your Order ID, item, and quantity. Send us a notification email at info@coopercricket.com.au, and ship your bat to:

What is covered and what is not by this 1-Year Limited Bat Warranty?

  • Handle Breaks:
General wear and tear or a manufacturing flaw could be the cause.
Solution: While the bat itself may not be replaced, the handle can be repaired. Replacing the handle will not affect the bat's performance or lifespan.
  • Cracks Across the Blade:
Caused by weak or dry willow.
Solution: Replacement is possible at Cooper Cricket’s discretion, depending on the bat’s typical usage.
  • Surface Cracks on the Face of the Blade:
Caused by general wear, low-quality balls, or insufficient knocking in.
Solution: Not replaceable, as this doesn’t affect the bat’s performance. It may be repairable at Cooper Cricket’s discretion. Using protective tape will help minimise damage.
  • Edge Cracks:
Resulting from wear and tear, mistimed shots, or improper knocking in.
Solution: Cannot be replaced but may be repaired at Cooper Cricket’s discretion. These cracks won’t affect the bat’s performance. Using fiber tape can prevent this damage.
  • Toe Surface Cracks:
Caused by hitting Yorkers hard on the toe end.
Solution: Not replaceable but may be repaired if necessary.
  • Shoulder Crack:
Typically caused by a mishit or a ball striking the shoulder.
Solution: Not replaceable but may be repaired at Cooper Cricket’s discretion.
  • Damage Due to Wetness:
Using the bat in wet conditions can cause swelling at the toe, leading to splitting. A toe guard can help prevent this.
Solution: Not replaceable, as this is not a manufacturing defect. Cooper Cricket may offer repair at its discretion.
  • Damage Caused by Low-Quality Balls or Poor Bat Handling:
Low-quality or hard cricket balls can damage the blade.
Solution: Damages caused by this are not replaceable. We strongly advise using balls from recognised manufacturers to avoid unnecessary damage. Also, do not strike the bat against hard surfaces other than the cricket ball.
  • Damage Caused by Bowling Machine Balls:
Bowling machine balls can damage the blade.
Solution: Damages caused by this are not replaceable. We strongly advise using leather balls from recognised manufacturers to avoid unnecessary damage. Bowling machine balls never soften, and even used at a medium pace, they will cause damage.
  • Yorker Damage:
Caused by jamming down on a yorker, which puts extreme pressure on the toe of the bat. This often results in surface cracks or deeper damage to the toe.
Solution: Damage from Yorkers is not replaceable, as it is considered part of general wear and tear. However, Cooper Cricket may be able to repair this damage depending on the severity.

6-Month Warranty for Protective Gear, Equipment, and Shoes

All Cooper Cricket protective gear, including pads, gloves, thigh guards, bags, and shoes, is covered by a 6-month warranty. As long as the items have been properly maintained and cared for, we will gladly offer a replacement or credit for any faults, provided proof of purchase is supplied.

Please be aware that cricket gear is made from materials that naturally wear down with use.

The warranty covers faults that impact the functionality of the gear and does not include normal wear and tear. For example, a heavily worn-out palm on a glove may not be covered if the wear indicates significant use.

To make a warranty claim for your protective gear or shoes, please ensure you have your receipt or proof of purchase available.

Important Note:
The Cooper Cricket Warranty provides additional rights beyond those given under Australian consumer law. This warranty does not exclude, limit, or suspend a buyer's rights under consumer law but complements them.
