Small team. Serious obsession.
Cooper started with one signwriter making bats in a Townsville garage in 2011. Today it is a small crew in Brisbane who make, repair and ship cricket gear all year round, and still stop to watch when someone middles one in the nets out back.

Walk into the workshop and this is who is covered in willow dust.
Rod GreyFounder of Cooper Cricket. A signwriter with cricket in his blood who started making bats in a Townsville garage in 2011 and moved the workshop to Brisbane in 2017.
Josh BrownCame in for two weeks of labouring help in 2019 and never left. Learned the trade in the workshop, makes his own bats, and takes them out in the Big Bash.
Luke FreyJoined in October 2023, having been a bat repairer working out of his own garage. He is now our workshop manager, making sure everything, repairs, new bats and every job in between, gets out the door on time.
Malakai PearceJoined at 14 and a half, just after Josh Brown made his mark in the Big Bash, and had already been repairing cricket bats in his garage since he was 13. Now an integral part of Cooper Cricket and an exceptional bat maker.
Jack JenningsJoined at 14 and a half as our junior bat repairer. He has likely repaired over a thousand bats already, and is well on his way to becoming a great bat maker.Chandler SilvertandWorkshop team.
