One day that bat will be gone.
Every player has one. The bat that just worked. You picked it up and it felt like it was already part of your hands. Willow is a natural material and no two clefts are the same, so the bat you love was never a model you can reorder. It was one piece of wood. When it goes, the shop cannot sell you another one, because there is no other one.
That is the whole reason this service exists. Not to sell you a bat like it. To make you that bat again. Cooper Bat Match is for adult-size bats only, and every price is on this page.

What you choose
The grade of willow. How it looks: your stickers, your grip, the protection you want on the face and toe. And, once your bat is here, the actual piece of willow yours gets made from.
What we do
Everything else. You are never asked to measure your own bat, because measuring it properly is the part you are paying for.

Send it in, or bring it to us
Post it or drop it into the Brisbane workshop, your call. Either way, your bat stays with us for a few days while we do the recording work off camera. We come back to you when your cleft options are ready.
We record it
Photographed, weighed, and measured every 50 mm, then 3D scanned. Nothing about your bat is guessed. If you added Cooper Handle Match in the same session, we capture your handle profile alongside the shape.
We go through the willow stack for you
You have paid at booking, so this stage is a choice, not another quote. We bring you a spread of real clefts in your grade, and you pick the one your bat gets made from.

Photographs, grain, the weight we expect it to finish at. Nobody else in the country lets you pick your own cleft against real numbers. This is the moment people tell their team-mates about.

What the $495 actually buys.
It is not a setup fee for paperwork. It is the recording: your bat's shape measured properly and kept on file permanently. Which means the $495 is paid once, ever. Order a second bat in three years and it is just a custom bat at the normal price, in your shape. A standard Cooper handle is included in every Bat Match at no extra charge.

If you hold the rights to it, we can put it on the bat: $99 setup once, plus $39 for the sticker set.
Play under a bat sponsor? Your bat gets finished the way your contract needs, and handled discreetly. Talk to us before you book.
Honest answers
Why does it cost more than a custom bat?
Because a custom bat starts from a shape we already have. Yours does not exist yet. Measuring a bat properly, recording it, and then finding willow that will finish at the right weight in that shape is real work, and it happens before a single cut is made.
Will it be identical?
The shape will be. The wood will not, because no two clefts are the same and yours never was reproducible. What we can do is match the shape exactly and get you as close on weight and pickup as the willow allows. We will tell you what we expect it to finish at before you choose.
Adult bats only
We do not offer Bat Match in junior sizes.
What if my bat is broken?
Still fine. We are measuring a shape, not restoring a bat. If it also needs repair work, that is a separate conversation and we will have it with you.
When do I pay?
In full at booking, in store or online. That is when the workshop knows the order is real and puts your bat in the queue. The bat then stays with us for a few days for the recording work; you see it again when both bats come home together.
Can we do it in store?
Yes. Bring the bat to the Brisbane workshop, we take you through the intake at the bench, and the bat stays with us from there. The recording and cleft selection happen in the days that follow. Call ahead so the bench is free when you arrive.

With the new one, or earlier if you want it back sooner. Tell us which when you book. It is your bat, and it is never not coming home.
Ready in 14 to 21 days
Counted from booking, the same window as any custom bat. Your bat is with us for a few days at the start of that window for the recording work, and we bring you cleft options before we start cutting.
The $495 is paid once
Your shape stays on file permanently. Every bat after this one is just the custom bat price, in your shape. Add Cooper Handle Match to the same session and your handle profile is on file too, so every re-handle on your other bats is just the re-handle price.
Freight, plainly
Getting the bat to us is your cost: post it signed-for, or drop it into the Brisbane workshop. The builder walks you through packing it safely, and if the bat is irreplaceable, add transit cover at the post office when you send it. Both bats come home together: return delivery is free on Australian orders over $150, and every Bat Match order clears that.
