Photos do not always show everything, so we give every bat a final check when it arrives: if anything extra is needed, we contact you and confirm before any repairs go ahead.

What the damage looks like

**Cracked or worn face**Surface cracking and a tired face. Usually a half or full clean.

**Toe damage and swelling**Chips, cracks or moisture in the toe. Toe repair, or a graft if it is far gone.

**Lifted edge or delamination**Face or edge lifting away in a layer. Delamination repair.

**Broken or loose handle**Snapped, dead or wrong size. Handle replacement or reshape.

**Water damage**Moisture in the blade from wet decks or storage. Dry out, repair and reseal.

**Melted or worn grip**Grips melt in hot cars and wear through a season. Rebind and regrip.

**Cracked shoulders**Cracks running through the shoulder. Repaired and bound, or grafted if it runs deep.

**Broken toe**A blow-out or a chunk gone from the toe. Toe repair, or a full rebuild.

**Missing toe or edge**When part of the bat is simply gone, we graft in new willow and build it back.

**Handle splitting apart**A handle coming apart in layers is done. Full handle replacement.

**Willow grafting**Dead wood cut out, new English willow glued in and blended off. The repair that saves write-offs.

**Reshape and re-balance**Too heavy, or a pickup you never liked. Reshaped and re-balanced in the workshop.

What each repair is

What each service does, in plain terms. Prices and bundles are shown live in the builder when you select them.

Clean Up

A clean up brings the bat back to bare, healthy willow: we remove the old facing, repair minor cracks and damage, sand the bat back and oil it. A half clean covers the hitting area only; a full clean does the entire bat, stickers off, the lot. Every clean includes your choice of protective facing (Clearguard, Clearguard+ or Fibreguard) fitted free. You only ever need one: a full clean includes everything the half clean does.

Handle

Handle Replacement: a new handle in any shape, thickness and length, fitted and bound, on its own or bundled with a half or full clean. Handle Reshape changes the feel of your existing handle. Rebind re-does the twine binding, Double Binding adds strength for heavy use, and we can shorten a handle knobless or with a new 3D printed knob.

Toe

Toe Repair: repairs cracks, chips and water damage in the toe, on its own or with a clean for the best finish. Toe Re-shape: choose round, square, standup or ultra round (square and standup shapes shorten the bat slightly). Toe Graft: when the toe is too far gone to repair, we cut it off and graft in new willow (includes a half clean).

Edge and Delamination

Edge Graft: new willow grafted into a damaged edge (includes a half clean). Delamination Repair: when the face or an edge lifts away in a layer, we glue it down properly and clean the bat up. Grafts and delamination repairs need glue curing time, so they cannot be rushed: Jump the Queue is not available on these.

Shape and Weight

Re-weight / Re-balance: take weight out of the bat, from a light touch on the back through to a bigger re-weight across the whole blade. The largest re-weight is only possible if the bat is big enough to take it, which we confirm at review. Reshape: reprofile the back only, reprofile the entire bat, or change the size of the bat. We can also shorten the blade.

Knocking In

Knocking In: we sand and oil the face, then properly knock the bat in so it is net ready.

Finishing

Binding: toe, shoulder or both. Grip: any style and colour. Toe protection: Shoe Goo or a Hard Toe. Protective facing (Clearguard, Clearguard+ or Fibreguard) is included free with any clean or repair that includes one. Stickers: Cooper Cricket stickers are free on any repaired bat, and we will fit your own stickers free.

Turnaround and Jump the Queue

Standard turnaround is a guaranteed 10 days from when we receive your bat. Often quicker, and if we do not have it done within 10 days the standard repair is free.

Bats must be dropped off by 12pm on day one to guarantee the service (7am cutoff for same day).
Same day repairs need a further 24 hours before the bat is used.
Delamination repairs and grafts (toe or edge) cannot be rushed; Jump the Queue is not available on those bats.
