Every Cooper Cricket bat is made from start to finish in our Brisbane workshop at 1 Axford Street, Northgate. We use Players Grade through to select Grade 3 and 4 genuine English willow, plus poplar clefts for our indoor bats.

Custom bats are made to order. Build time is 14 to 21 days, and a bat is never finished before 14 days, so treat it as a window rather than a date. If you need it sooner, Jump the Queue brings it down to 10 days. Either way we confirm timing with you when you order.

A Custom bat is built to your exact spec in the bat builder: shape, weight, handle, grade and finish. A Standard bat is the same shape made to a standard weight range, ready to buy off the shelf.

Five grades. Ultimate is Players grade, Grade 1 and above. Pro is Pro Player grade, and stock is limited. Elite is Grade 1. Supreme is Grade 2. Performance is select Grade 3 or 4.

Grade is about the look of the willow and when the bat performs, not how well it hits. Every grade is fully knocked in and ready to play.

Every Cooper bat carries a 12-month manufacturing warranty, doubled to 24 months with the extended warranty, gloves, pads and other soft goods carry 6 months, and bags 12. Exactly what is covered, what is not, and how to claim is all on our Warranty page.

Not a Cooper bat. Every bat we make is hand knocked in before it reaches you, oiled, with the edges and toe boned, and face protection fitted. It is net ready the day you get it.

It is not match ready, and no new bat is. Spend the first couple of weeks in the nets against older balls. Most bats take two to five weeks of play to really open up.

Standard repair turnaround is a guaranteed 10 days from when we receive your bat, and if we do not have it done in 10 days the standard repair is free. Often quicker.

Need it back faster? Jump the Queue runs from 7 day at $50 up to same day at $150, per bat. Bats need to be with us by 12pm on day one, or 7am for a same day turnaround, and a same day repair needs another 24 hours before you use it. Not available on grafts or delamination repairs, which need curing time.

Keep it lightly oiled, store it somewhere dry and away from heat, and strike from the middle. Avoid yorker-length deliveries on the toe and bowling-machine balls, which are hard on any bat.

Custom and made-to-order bats are built to your spec, so they cannot be returned unless faulty. For other items, your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply and our Refund Policy has the details.

We sponsor professional players from time to time. We do not sponsor amateur or club cricketers any more.

We used to, and we were proud of it, but the numbers stopped working. A small workshop making every bat by hand cannot carry that many bats and keep making bats properly. We would rather say so plainly than keep taking applications we are never going to say yes to. If that is you, sorry, and thanks for asking.
