Each student receives a pressed English willow cleft with the splice cut and a handle ready to go.

A finished, playable cricket bat, hand-shaped by the student and finished under the teacher's eye. 

Australian Curriculum and VET.

The cricket bat making program is mapped to Australian Curriculum, state senior syllabi and vocational units of competency from Certificate II in Furniture Making Pathways (MSF20522), giving schools the option to include this program for vocational pathway students or academic pathway students.

The program covers safety, hand tool use, measuring, shaping, finishing and more.
