Congratulations Josh and the Heat
When serious cricketers are facing 100's or 1000's of balls each week, the life expectancy of their high-grade match bat can be shortened if over-used in the nets.
To overcome this, it is becoming more popular for players to have a practice bat made to match their game bat.
Butterfly English willow comes from the same tree as other grades of English willow however, it gets its name from the butterfly shaped stain across the face.
This stain is caused from a branch being pruned as the tree is growing over a 10 - 15 year period. It causes a visible scar which creates a tough point that makes a cricket bat with good ping, great performance and longevity.
The type of bat you should buy is influenced by a few things, including:
- Your age
- Your height
- How you play
As a general rule of thumb, even into adulthood most players of standard height will play off the front and back foot and therefore fit into a mid middle bat. However, this will differ for taller or shorter players.
Which bat is best for my child?
We are tremendously proud of the quality and comfort of our gloves and the protection they offer. Cooper Cricket offers three styles of batting gloves, the:
- AEGIS
- BISON, and
- VIRTUS.
Both the AEGIS and BISON gloves come in adult and youth sizes and have palms made from the highest quality Pittards leather so you won't even need to wear them in.
The VIRTUS glove is available in adult, youth and junior and the palm is made from premium sheep leather.
Fix your old bat or buy a new bat?
