At Cooper Cricket we only use English willow to make our cricket bats.
That's it.
Nothing else.
There are other types of willow that can be used for kids bats or indoor cricket bats including:
- Poplar willow
- Kashmir willow
But you won't find any of this at Cooper Cricket.
The English willow we source is grown in England. There are many elements that make our English willow clefts the best choice. These include:
- Moisture levels in the willow
- Age of the willow
- Look of the willow
- Colour of the willow
- But most importantly, the performance of the willow once pressed and shaped into a cricket bat.
