Alberton Ormeau Cricket Club had invited us down to make some cricket bats while they hosted their Celebrity Cricket Match for 2021 that featured the likes of Nathan Hauritz, Chris Hartley and Georgia Prestwidge just to name a few.
After setting up our marquee and mobile workshop, we started shaping up a bat from start to finish. During the process we had a great conversations about bat making and cricket bats in general. We also had some of the kids having a go to try and shape a bat! Some of the kids took a good collection of English willow to take to school to show their mates aswell.
The cricket bat that we made will be donated to the Alberton Ormeau Cricket Club so they can auction if off to raise money for the club.
