WARRANTY POLICY

Warranty Information

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this warranty limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

All Cooper Cricket products are assessed individually. This warranty explains how manufacturing faults are assessed across cricket bats, equipment, accessories, and third-party products.

Warranty periods

Cooper Cricket provides the following manufacturer warranty periods for manufacturing faults only:

• Cricket bats are covered for manufacturing faults for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase
• Soft goods, including gloves and pads, are covered for manufacturing faults for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase

These warranty periods apply only to manufacturing faults.

Damage caused by impact, misuse, poor preparation, normal wear and tear, or playing conditions is not covered under warranty, regardless of when it occurs.

The length of time since purchase does not change the cause of damage and does not determine whether a product is covered under warranty.

Important information about cricket bats and equipment

Cricket bats are made from natural English willow. As a natural material, every bat is unique. Variations in grain, appearance, weight, balance, and performance are normal.

Cracking, seam marks, indentations, and surface wear can occur, including early in a bat’s life. This does not automatically indicate a manufacturing fault.

Cricket bats are designed to strike the ball primarily from the middle of the blade. Impacts to the edges, toe, shoulders, or splice place significantly higher stress on the bat and increase the likelihood of damage.

Ball type, pitch conditions, frequency of use, weather conditions, storage, and batting technique all influence durability and are outside our control once the product leaves our workshop.

Where Cooper Cricket provides a knocking-in service, this prepares the bat for play and reduces the likelihood of early damage. Knocking-in does not make a bat indestructible. A professionally knocked-in bat can still crack if subjected to impacts outside normal playing conditions.

Excessive use with bowling machine balls or artificial balls is not considered normal playing use. These balls are significantly harder than leather cricket balls and place increased stress on the bat, particularly on the edges, toe, and handle.

For a cricket bat to be eligible for warranty assessment, original Cooper Cricket branding must remain intact. If Cooper Cricket stickers are removed, altered, covered, or replaced with third-party branding, the manufacturer warranty is void. If a bat is supplied or requested as a clean-skin bat, meaning without Cooper Cricket branding, no manufacturer warranty is provided.

Accessories, consumables, and applied products

Some products sold or applied by Cooper Cricket are consumable in nature and are designed to wear through normal use. This includes items such as grips, face protection sheets, toe guards, bat tape, and other applied protective products.

Where an accessory or applied product fails immediately or within a short period due to a workmanship or material issue, we will assess and may repair or replace the item at our discretion.

Warranty does not apply to consumables worn through normal play, ongoing use, impact, abrasion, moisture exposure, or misuse. This short-period assessment does not extend the expected life of consumable items.

Gloves, pads, and soft protective equipment

Gloves, pads, and other soft protective equipment are subject to normal wear and tear. Warranty applies only to manufacturing faults present at the time of sale.

Wear, loss of padding firmness, cosmetic damage, moisture damage, or damage through use is not covered.

Bags and luggage

Cricket bags and luggage are covered for manufacturing faults only.

Damage caused by overloading, transport handling, airline damage, or general wear is not covered.

Third-party products

Some products sold by Cooper Cricket are manufactured by third-party brands, including cricket footwear manufactured by Idoneus Sports.

Warranty for third-party products is provided by the original manufacturer. Cooper Cricket may assist with warranty claims where possible but does not control manufacturer assessment or outcomes.

Warranty assessment process

All warranty claims must be assessed before any outcome is confirmed.

Claims may require clear photos, proof of purchase, details of use, ball type, playing surface, and approximate usage. We reserve the right to inspect products in person before making a final determination.

Repairs and support

If damage occurs, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible. Early repair can often stabilise a product and significantly extend its usable life.
